Our innovative menus are crafted by a world-renowned Executive Chef and designed for affordable culinary enjoyment with all tastes and dietary requirements covered. All produce is sourced locally and boasts the highest food standards the region has to offer. This means you get to taste and embrace the freshest flavours prepared daily by a team passionate about the dishes plated daily. Our epic cocktail and drinks menu blends a creative fusion of sea-inspired flair, while our exhaustive beer list sends any beer baron into a froth with renowned commercial and craft brews pouring daily from domestic and international breweries – around 100 at any one time and the second largest offer in Queensland. For us, it’s about our Gold Coast functions guests embracing the Sandbar slogan as much as we do and celebrating “good times, all the time” on the Surfers Paradise beachfront.

SANDBAR FUNCTION SPACES

Sandbar offers a range of Surfers Paradise function spaces depending on your group size and preferred staging style. Live music, DJ and theming can be included in any of these spaces with the entire venue space covered making for a safe Gold Coast wet weather venue. Being a Surfers Paradise beachfront venue, the view is always spectacular overlooking the beach, ocean and bustling Esplanade boardwalk.

Sandbar café

This is the perfect Surfers Paradise function space for intimate events, featuring table seating on the outside lawn and adjoining booths and tables inside for those who’d like to be a little more covered. There’s plenty of standing room with easy bar access plus a side entrance for an exclusive guest welcome. The Sandbar Café can be made into a private space with custom timber partitions that section it off from the rest of the restaurant making it your own show with no venue overflow.

SANDBAR LAWN & LOUNGE

This is our largest and most popular function space due to its flexible staging and privacy options. The alfresco area features teak tables, booths and bench seating – perfect for a casual Gold Coast corporate function or large party venue boasting chic coastal surrounds. Guests can kickback in the lounge area and the long indoor-outdoor marble bench is the perfect addition for a buffet, DJ set up or product display. Our huge Sandbar bar directly joins this function space offering quick drinks service and we can also set up a pop-up bar on the lawn as a second drinks station or specialist cocktail bar.

SANDBAR EXCLUSIVE

If you’re planning to host a large Gold Coast function with a guest list of over 150 and looking for an exclusive venue all to yourself, then the Sandbar Café, Lawn and Lounge can all be booked making for an exclusive Surfers Paradise function experience. This is often the preferred option with discerning corporate functions and birthday parties celebrating big milestones and opting for full function privacy and solely dedicated service.
